President and CEO
Julie is the President and CEO of HOP Inc Canada, currently holding the longest tenure with the company at 27 years. Through progression and advancing roles within the company, including Controller and Director, she has been instrumental in ensuring the long term success and stability of HOP’s future. Her superpower at HOP is the financial acumen she brings to the books, and ensuring profitability balanced with providing the right products at competitive prices. As a nature lover, her gardening thumb is a force to be reckoned with and she has been known for adopting orphaned plants and nursing them back to a better-than-thriving state. She also loves scenic bike rides, travelling to new countries and a refreshing swim after a long day at work.
Sr. Manager, Sales & Customer Experience
Jasmine joined HOP in an effort to support business continuity during a period of transition. With a strong background leading large training businesses and HR functions for top companies including Apple, Microsoft and Oracle – HOP’s adventure took her completely outside of her comfort zone. As a 20 year veteran in HR, certified learning and as a development practitioner, she has quickly leveraged transferable skills to lead the Sales and Marketing team, and has broadened their breath and depth of product knowledge. Her high level of emotional intelligence is a key part of her success, tapping into people’s strengths and enabling them, while also building trust and integrity with everything she does. She’s currently at the next level of motherhood – with 4 teenagers/young adults, and a husband she adores. She plans to travel the world in the next 10 years and continue her luxury goods addiction.
Janelle started as our marketing intern in early 2018, and thrived in our office environment. She has brought her previous supervisory experience and existing creative interests together to become a key supporter to many facets of the business. Her willingness to learn, attention to detail, and curiosity towards innovation are greatly appreciated by the team. Passionate about the intersections of tech and design, she is always excited to join any conversation about artificial intelligence and the ways machine learning will continue to incorporate itself into the norms of the future.
Supervisor, Shipping & Receiving
Diana grew up at HOP, literally! From the humble beginnings of an entry level sales position, she quickly realized her passions were more around fulfillment related activities and inventory management. She currently heads shipping and receiving in a supervisory capacity and has been with us for 20 years. When asked what her favorite HOP product was, without hesitation she said it was our Bindings, our very first product sold in Canada. With so many colours and size combinations – the possibilities are endless.
Outside of work, family is #1, she enjoys splish-splashing at the local swimming pool with her hubby and kiddies, Ivana and Mia and spending quality time appreciating each day as a blessing.
Andrey’s timing was excellent in 2018, as he was seeking a company locally who needed some warehouse help. He proactively put his many years of experience working for much larger enterprise size organizations into practice, helping to clean up our back of house to the next level of visual standards and discipline. He continues to make suggestions regularly for ongoing improvement between our departments and is meticulous with his work. He takes great pride in sharing the progression of his home garden (vegetables and roses, included), weed free lawn and mouth watering BBQ skills.
A newcomer to Canada, Annie came in as referral in 2011, looking to apply her experience and education as a Chartered Accountant (CA). She started off with AP/AR responsibilities and over time evolved to include vendor management scope and sales support activities. While it may seem she is quieter, once you get to know her – she is full of spunk and great storytelling. She loves shopping, Apple technology, is a sharp dresser and loves a good picnic.
Bev joined HOP 9 years ago, after hearing from friends it was a good place to work (Gotta love that positive Net Promoter Score!) With a deep background in the hospitality industry, she enjoys being in the service of others and currently supports us on the finance side as a AP/AR specialist. Beyond this, she is also an operational go to and plans many of our social functions throughout the year. On a personal level, she is an avid bowler (her entire family is at the competitive level), adores peaceful walks with her Llasa Apso, especially after a warm rainfall when the smell of dew fills the air.
